The YF-S201 Water Flow Measurement Sensor with a flow rate of 1-30 liters per minute is an efficient device designed to be installed directly in your water line. This sensor utilizes a pinwheel mechanism to accurately measure the volume of liquid flowing through it. Each time the pinwheel completes a revolution, an integrated magnetic hall effect sensor generates an electrical pulse, providing a precise count of water movement.
Importantly, the hall effect sensor is sealed from the water flow, ensuring that it remains safe and dry during operation. This design enhances the sensor’s durability and reliability, making it suitable for various applications such as irrigation systems, aquariums, and water monitoring systems. Its easy installation and accurate measurements make it a valuable tool for both hobbyists and professionals.
By counting the pulses from the output of the sensor, you can easily calculate water flow. Each pulse is approximately 2.25 millilitres.
