The Infrared Obstacle Avoidance IR Sensor Module (Active Low) consists of a pair of infrared transmitting and receiving tubes. As the transmitted light waves bounce back, the receiver tube picks up the reflected IR waves. The onboard comparator circuitry processes this information, activating the green indicator LED to signify detection.
Featuring a 3-wire interface with Vcc, GND, and an OUTPUT pin, the module operates effectively with voltage levels ranging from 3.3V to 5V. Upon obstruction or reflection, the output pin generates a digital signal, specifically a low-level signal. Additionally, an onboard preset allows for fine-tuning the operational range, with an effective distance range spanning from 2cm to 80cm.
