The KY-009 SMD 3 Color LED Module features a 5050 SMD LED that combines red, green, and blue light to produce a wide range of colors. Each color can be adjusted using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to mix the primary colors effectively.
This module is compatible with popular platforms like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and ESP8266. It includes three separate LEDs—red, green, and blue—connected through a common cathode, sharing the same negative connection. The red LED requires 1.8V, while the green and blue LEDs need 2.8V each, with all operating at 20mA.
You can create various color combinations by adjusting the brightness of each LED.
