The KY-001 DS18B20 Temperature Sensor Module functions as a digital thermometer that seamlessly integrates with Arduino using a simple setup involving only a 4.7kΩ resistor. Its connection scheme is straightforward: connect ground to pin 1, output to pin 2 with a resistor to the positive source at pin 3. Operating on the 1-wire protocol, multiple sensors can be daisy-chained to Arduino using a single shared wire. With a digital precision of 12 bits, it achieves temperature measurements with exceptional accuracy down to 0.0625°C.
