The TCRT5000 Reflective IR Sensor Photoelectric Switch that combines an infrared LED and an infrared detector in a single unit. This sensor operates by emitting a beam of infrared light downward toward a surface. When the light hits the surface, it reflects back to the sensor, where it is detected by the infrared phototransistor.
