The SW1801P 4pin vibration sensor module for Arduino is equipped with all the essential components for easy operation. Simply supply power to the module, and it’s ready for use. By attaching it to an object, the module effectively detects whether the object is tilted, offering a straightforward digital output that indicates tilt status.
Utilizing the SW-460D or SW-520D tilt sensor, this module employs a ball rolling mechanism rather than a mercury-based design, making it safer and more reliable. It features an M3 mounting hole for easy installation on various surfaces. The onboard tilt switch is highly sensitive, making it commonly used for tilt detection in various applications. Visual indicators, including a power LED and a status LED, enhance usability by providing clear feedback on the module’s status.
When the object remains within a specified angle, the module outputs a logic LOW signal. However, when tilted beyond the threshold—typically ranging from 45 to 130 degrees—it switches to a logic HIGH signal. The sensor’s performance can vary with angular velocity, and it also serves as a vibration sensor, adding to its versatility. The module can easily interface with any microcontroller featuring a digital input, such as the 8051, PIC, SK40C, SK28A, and SKds40A, making it an excellent choice for various electronic projects.
Pin Connection:
-
VCC = 5V
-
GND = 0V.
-
DO = digital output from the module
Note: If the DO is not working, you might need to turn the on-board potentiometer to center.
