The 3pin Photosensitive Sensor Module Light- Dependent Control LM393 is a versatile tool designed for detecting the presence and measuring the intensity of light. It operates by providing a high output signal when light is detected and a low output signal in the absence of light. This functionality makes it ideal for applications such as controlling lighting systems or adjusting LED brightness based on ambient light conditions.
The module features a built-in potentiometer that allows users to adjust the sensitivity of the light detection. By tuning this variable resistor, you can set the threshold level for when the module should register a change in light intensity. This adjustment capability provides flexibility in how the module responds to different lighting conditions.
The Digital LDR Module is equipped with an M3 mounting hole, making it easy to attach to various surfaces or objects. It includes both a power LED and a status LED to provide visual feedback on the module’s operation. The onboard Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) is highly sensitive and effective for detecting ambient brightness and light intensity, making it suitable for applications in environmental monitoring, automated lighting systems, and more.
3pin Photosensitive Sensor Module LM393 Features:
- LM393 based design
- Can detect ambient brightness and light intensity
- Adjustable sensitivity via blue digital potentiometer adjustment
- Output: Digital 0V to 5V, Adjustable trigger level from preset
- Output: Analog 0V to 5V based on light falling on the LDR
- LEDs indicating output and power
How it works:
- The LDR module detects ambient light intensity using the Light Dependent Resistor (LDR).
- When the light intensity exceeds a set threshold, the DO port outputs high, otherwise, it outputs low.
- The digital output (DO) can be connected directly to an MCU to detect changes in ambient light intensity.
- The digital output can also drive a relay module to create a photoelectric switch.
- The analog output (AO) can be connected to an ADC to get a more accurate light intensity value.
Pins:
- VCC: 3.3V to 5V DC
- GND: Ground
- DO: Digital Output
- AO: Analog Output
