The KY-021 Mini Dry Reed Pipe Module is a compact magnetic sensor that operates with a normally open contact, closing when exposed to a magnetic field. It is encased in a sealed glass tube that contains two iron elastic reed plates, filled with an inert gas, often rhodium, to enhance performance and longevity. The reeds inside are made from specialized materials to ensure reliability and sensitivity.
This module integrates a 10kΩ resistor and a small reed switch, making it ideal for proximity sensing in various mechanical systems.
