The LED Scroller Matrix keyboard is a versatile input device commonly used in various electronic projects. This non-encoded matrix keypad consists of 16 keys arranged in parallel, facilitating easy access for users.
The keys are organized into rows and columns, with pins R1-R4 controlling the rows and L1-L4 controlling the columns. This arrangement enables efficient scanning of key presses. The keypad utilizes microswitch pushbuttons, providing a tactile response for enhanced user interaction.
Additionally, the module includes four 3mm (M3) mounting holes for secure installation in various setups. Each PCB clearly displays pin designations for easy reference, helping users connect the keypad with confidence. The design uses four pins for the ‘x’ coordinate and four for the ‘y’ coordinate, ensuring accurate input detection. Moreover, the module comes with pre-soldered pin headers, simplifying integration into projects.
