This ultra-thin 38KHz universal IR Remote Control is designed for a wide range of applications, making it a versatile tool for various electronic projects. Utilizing the NEC encoding format, this 1-21 key remote control can interface seamlessly with devices such as USB port stereo systems, car MP3 players, foot baths, lighting systems, digital photo frames, and microcontroller development boards, including learning boards.
The remote features a precision 38 kHz infrared transmitter that employs a MOS integrated circuit, ensuring reliable remote operation for devices like TVs and VCD players, as well as any compatible IR receiver. The NEC transmission format incorporates leader codes, custom codes (16 bits), and data codes (16 bits), providing a comprehensive control protocol.
The oscillation frequency is determined by a crystal, while the IR LEDs connected to the output emit infrared pulses at 38 kHz. This design is compatible with most IR sensors, which are optimized for detecting 38 kHz pulsed infrared rays, ensuring effective communication between the remote and the target device.
