The DS18B20 Waterproof Digital Thermometer Sensor Probe 2m Original Chip is an advanced temperature sensor designed for reliable and accurate measurements in challenging environments. Utilizing the DS18B20 sensor, this probe excels in scenarios where precise temperature readings are needed from a distance or in wet conditions, such as in industrial processes, aquariums, or weather stations. The waterproof construction ensures durability and consistent performance even when exposed to moisture. One of its standout features is its digital nature, which eliminates signal degradation over long distances, maintaining accuracy. The sensor offers impressive precision with a tolerance of ±0.5°C across a wide range and provides up to 12 bits of resolution from its digital-to-analog converter, making it highly effective for various applications.
They work great with any microcontroller using a single digital pin, and you can even connect multiple ones to the same pin, each one has a unique 64-bit ID burned in at the factory to differentiate them. Usable with 3.0-5.0V systems. When using with microcontroller put a 4.7k resistor to sensing pin, which is required as a pull-up from the DATA to VCC line.
Wired connection:
