The BMP180 Digital Barometric Sensor Module is compatible with Arduino and designed to measure the absolute pressure of the environment. It uses the I2C communication protocol, and for added convenience, optional I2C pull-up resistors can be enabled via the PU (pull-up) jumper on the board, simplifying connections during breadboarding.
The BMP180 provides pressure and temperature readings as 16-bit values. These measurements, along with internal calibration data, allow for accurate temperature-compensated altitude calculations, enhancing the module’s versatility in various projects.
