The LP-AM261 LaunchPad™ Development Kit is a low-cost, easy-to-use evaluation board designed for the TI AM261x Arm®-based microcontroller family. Built for general-purpose applications, this development platform enables engineers, students, and hobbyists to quickly prototype, test, and deploy a wide range of embedded projects.
Powered by the Arm® Cortex®-R52 core, the AM261x MCU delivers high performance, real-time responsiveness, and low-power efficiency, making it ideal for industrial control, IoT devices, motor control, smart appliances, and automation systems.
This LaunchPad™ kit features on-board debug capability, a variety of I/O interfaces, and support for BoosterPack™ plug-in modules to extend functionality. With its standardized LaunchPad™ form factor, the LP-AM261 is cross-compatible with a wide ecosystem of TI and third-party expansion boards, sensors, and communication modules.
The board includes USB connectivity, LED indicators, and multiple serial communication options (UART, SPI, I²C, CAN), ensuring flexibility for diverse application needs. It also integrates TI’s simple-to-use software development tools and is fully supported by TI SDKs, Code Composer Studio™, and other popular IDEs.
