The TTGO T-SIM7000G by TTGO is a low-cost, feature-rich development board designed for IoT and wireless communication projects. Built around SIMCom’s SIM7000G LTE CAT-M/NB-IoT/EGPRS module and the ESP32 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth SoC, this board combines cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity in one compact platform.
With support for 2G (GSM/GPRS) and NB-IoT (Narrowband IoT) networks, the T-SIM7000G provides versatile connectivity options for IoT deployments in both urban and remote areas. This makes it ideal for low-power, wide-area network (LPWAN) applications such as asset tracking, smart metering, remote monitoring, and agricultural automation.
The onboard ESP32 SoC adds dual-core processing power along with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2 BR/EDR + BLE, enabling developers to integrate local wireless communication alongside cellular data. This hybrid connectivity ensures greater flexibility for IoT solutions that require both local and cloud integration.
One of the standout features of the TTGO T-SIM7000G board is its built-in battery charging circuit, with support for directly attaching an 18650 lithium battery cell. This feature makes it particularly suited for battery-powered or portable IoT applications, providing long-lasting operation in the field without constant recharging.
