The nRF5340-DK is a powerful and versatile development kit designed for the Nordic Semiconductor nRF5340 SoC, the first wireless System-on-Chip with a dual-core ARM® Cortex®-M33 architecture. Engineered for professional developers, this kit supports a wide range of wireless protocols, making it ideal for IoT, smart home, wearables, and industrial applications.
The nRF5340 supports Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) with advanced features including 2 Mbps high throughput, Advertising Extensions, and Long Range capabilities for extended communication distances. It also allows concurrent operation of Bluetooth LE with mesh protocols such as Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, and Zigbee, enabling smartphones and other devices to provision, commission, configure, and control mesh networks seamlessly.
In addition to Bluetooth technologies, the nRF5340-DK also supports NFC, ANT, 802.15.4, and 2.4 GHz proprietary protocols, ensuring flexibility for multiple wireless applications.
