The NUCLEO-WL33CC1 Nucleo-64 boards, designed with the MB1801 mezzanine board and MB2029 MCU RF board (NUCLEO-WL33CC1 and NUCLEO-WL33CC2 order codes), feature the STM32WL33CCV6 sub-GHz application processor. This high-performance processor is specifically engineered to operate in the 433, 868, and 915 MHz frequency bands, making it an excellent choice for low-power, wireless communication applications, such as IoT devices, sensors, and industrial monitoring systems. By offering multi-band support, these boards cater to a wide range of communication protocols and geographical regions.
To facilitate ease of expansion, the STM32WL3x boards support ARDUINO® Uno V3 connectivity, allowing users to integrate and interface with a broad selection of ARDUINO shields. This flexibility empowers developers to quickly add functionalities such as sensors, displays, and communication modules. Additionally, the inclusion of ST morpho headers provides further expansion possibilities, enabling users to connect custom peripherals or additional components.
Each board comes equipped with a dedicated software package, which includes the Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) library and a variety of software examples. These resources, bundled in the STM32CubeWL3 MCU Package, make it easier for developers to jumpstart their projects without having to design low-level software from scratch. The provided examples cover a range of use cases, from simple communication protocols to more advanced features, accelerating development time.
The STM32WL3x Nucleo-64 boards are available in two product variants, each optimized with a front-end tuned for specific frequency bands, further enhancing the versatility of these development platforms. This makes them ideal for various wireless applications, whether operating in the 433 MHz, 868 MHz, or 915 MHz frequency ranges.
