Description

The AT24C256 I2C Interface EEPROM Memory Module is an excellent choice for expanding data storage on an Arduino. While the ATmega chip on the Arduino has a limited amount of built-in EEPROM memory, this external module connects via the I2C bus and offers an easy way to increase storage capacity. The module features a pluggable EEPROM chip, so you can easily upgrade to a higher capacity by swapping the chip.

The AT24C256 module uses EEPROM chips from the AT24C series and provides a storage capacity of 256K bits, or 32K bytes. It communicates with the Arduino through the I2C interface and is best used in conjunction with the Arduino Sensor Shield V4.0 and the Arduino I2C COM Cable for optimal integration.

  8. It’s compatible with the Arduino Duemilanove (168 or 328), Uno as well as Mega (1280/2560) and can be accessed using the SD library.
  9. The Wiznet W5100 provides a network (IP) stack capable of both TCP and UDP.
  10. It supports up to four simultaneous socket connections.
  11. Use the Ethernet library to write sketches that connect to the internet using the shield.
