The W5500 chip is a powerful Hardwired TCP/IP embedded Ethernet controller designed to simplify Internet connectivity for embedded systems. The SPI to Ethernet Hardware TCP/IP W5500 Ethernet Network Module allows users to easily integrate Internet access into their applications using a single chip. This chip incorporates the entire TCP/IP stack, along with a 10/100 Ethernet MAC and PHY, streamlining the connection process.
With the W5500 chip, developers benefit from a fully integrated hardware TCP/IP protocol stack, eliminating the need for coding the protocol stack themselves. The module supports transmission rates of 10/100 Mbps, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It also features energy-saving capabilities, such as sleep mode and Wake-on-LAN functionality, alongside a built-in 32K TX/RX cache for efficient data handling.
Additionally, the W5500 module boasts eight independent ports that can operate simultaneously, providing flexibility for various projects. It supports both 3.3V and 5V power supplies, making it adaptable to different systems. With SPI protocol communication, it supports clock frequencies of up to 80 MHz and offers routines for STM32 and 51 microcontroller systems in client, server, and UDP modes, making it a versatile choice for embedded networking solutions.
